Orthotic appliances are then fabricated to test the improved occlusion. The orthotic has to be worn for several weeks, during which the jaw and teeth naturally drop into their most harmonious position. Permanent restorations are then fabricated and placed to the existing teeth to achieve maximum cosmetics and function. The treatment may also include the application of dental restorations including porcelain veneers, crowns, dental implants, and dental bridges.
